David, Founder & CEO at groas, never set out to build an AI company - he was just trying to solve his own problem. As a serial e-commerce entrepreneur, he had spent many years and millions of dollars of his own money running Google Ads for his various ventures. But no matter how much time he invested - over 60 hours a week optimising campaigns, tweaking ads, and building custom landing pages - he couldn’t shake the feeling that the system was broken.
A self-taught programmer since age 12, he began building AI agents to automate and optimise his ad campaigns and those of a few entrepreneur friends. Quickly realising there was something special in these early prototypes, he recruited a technical founding duo from Stanford University to help take them to the next level.
Tayo, our CTO, and Alex, our CPO, were dorm-mates at Stanford University where they bonded over late-night coding sessions and AI passion projects. Their synergy and shared vision for bleeding edge technology made them the perfect fit to join David in building groas. Here’s Tayo on why he jumped at the chance to join the mission:“When David shared his vision to transform the status quo of marketing using AI, it was a no-brainer. There were very few other business models out there where I could personally have such a big impact on other people's financial success using technology.”
